toothsome electronica

Since we were talking about music last week, I should mention this band I recently heard, The Birthday Massacre. Their label describes them as "a captivating hybrid of 80's electronica and aggressive guitars, curiously fused with a cinematic quality of melodic progression." The name of the band itself is representative of their material--imagine the therapy-drawings of a puckish and sociopathic ten-year-old. The vocals are delicate and ethereal, floating on top of a Korn-ish dark techno beat.

I like almost all the samplings on their MySpace page, but I'm particularly partial to "Happy Birthday."
